The Agritech environment is populated by a large number of providers: some of them offering digital solutions in an end-to-end approach, others are specialized on niche sectors.
Background
The client is an important player in the Agritech space, aiming at improving further its leadership enriching the solution portfolio with a value proposition that leverages the availability of data to support better decisions of farmers.
For this reason, the client asked Bip’s support to have an overview of the Agritech sector and its main players considered as champions in some specific use cases, including Traceability, Life Cycle Assessment, AI imaging and data monetization in the agrifood sector.
Challenge
Delivering a comprehensive overview of the market providing useful insights for the client in a limited timeframe and with high quality was possible thanks to Bip’s extensive knowledge of the Agritech arena, combining business, digital and sustainability skills in the project team staffed.
Approach
For each of the use cases, Bip defined and agreed with the client a reference framework of analysis, clarifying the key areas to investigate.
Based on its proprietary database, Bip carried out an extensive analysis of each of the areas, highlighting trends, best practice and key players.
Based on the analysis performed, Bip finally provided strategic recommendations to the client, suggesting to focus investments in areas where the market value and potential was highest, and where its current solution portfolio showed major gaps.

The client had the possibility to benefit from a clearer picture of the market dimension and trends, and of the competition arena. Based on this, it had the possibility to review its strategy, commercial approach and implementation roadmap to better focus effort and investments in the most valuable market segments, improving its positioning and appeal to its prospects and clients at national and international level.
